Excellent Resource for New Writers
I'm recommending this book to all members of my writers guild. Although it is targeted for grades 4 - 8, it holds many great things for older, beginning writers. The organization is a great design for writers, different from a Thesarus. For example, there are pages of character traits. Then with each character trait mentioned, there is a list of 8 - 12 similar word choices to help the writer find a more appropriate or interesting word. There are also word lists for different smells, emotions, body parts, sounds, etc. I would like to lay my hands on a reference book like this for writers of all ages and experience levels.
