Big Love - a lot to love

I had heard of Big Love but don't have cable so I hadn't seen it till I came across a fabulous sale on season one - I was hooked! I live in Utah where most people on the outside still believe polygamy is a common practice - it isn't! Sure there are some but not just here. Personally I feel the women who put up with such a lifestyle are stupid - but its their business I wish the government would leave them alone - they're not hurting anyone - the show is entertaining and deals mostly with relationships - relationships of people who just happen to live a polygamist lifestyle - its a great show and I recommend it to anyone who has a degree in psychology (like I do) or just wants to hear a good storyline

Wonderful! I had a great time watching this show!

I bought this DVD set because I got into Big Love after watching it via the local library. Being neither pro- or anti-polygamy, Big Love tells the story of a polygamous Mormon family as it is, unlike the so-called "reality" show Sister Wives, which tends to play up the conflicts in a polygamous family to ridiculous levels. Big Love is more real than Sister Wives in so many ways, and my only concern with Big Love is that the characters in the UEB compound seem to be caricatures of their real-life FLDS counterparts. All in all, though, Big Love is a very good show, and I would recommend it to anyone.

So-So

This show WAS great... they took their time with the first 3 seasons and then I felt as if the 4th season was rushed and didn't tie up all of the loose ends. WAY TOO many cast issues with changes being made for the children and no appearance from brother Joey. This season could have been better... :( also, the ending was not what you would have expected! BUMMER

This is one addictive show! Must see!!!

This is a great drama about the complicated life of a modern day polygamist family. I HIGHLY Recomend this series! My whole familys been pulled into its drama! Its one addicting show!!!
