A great little camera
having owned one for many years I opted to purchase one for my wife who has not had good luck with a few name brand cameras. After letting her use mine she asked me to purchase one for her birthday and she loves it, it is compact, easy to use, and good quality as a rule. A great plus is the battery fact, It is not always easy to find a place to recharge batteries, with the G E, battery replacement is quick and easy. It is a good camera for quick snapshots with a quick auto-focus and good depth of field. It doesn't have rechargeable batteries and you will want to use Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries because the display is a energy sponge. It has many features that give it added value.

Can't Complain
In 12.2 Megapixel mode, it's not as good as some higher end 12 megapixel cameras. However, you do get what you pay for, and I did indeed get what I paid for and then a little extra. The video is pretty good, and has optical zoom, and works well. Even in low light conditions such as my kids soccer game after dark with the artificial illumination. I was able to video the entire field from one vantage point. And with my son being the lead scorer on his team, that's a must have..... yes I did just say that, I want everyone to know I'm a proud father. One thing that I really do not like is having to carry around AA batteries all over the place. This camera does not come, nor can you use recharable batteries in it. It must be AA Alkaline or Lithium batteries, the Ni-cad batteries will not work ... In 12.2 Megapixel mode, it's not as good as some higher end 12 megapixel cameras. A fantastic Point & Shoot Camera- Look no further!
I purchased this GE A1250 12.2 MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom Lens on eBay. I was amazed to say the least that a plethora of features were packed into this camera.With the spec like 12.2 MP and 5x Optical Zoom Lens and user friendly menu controls how can even a novice go wrong. Coupled with this it has got some stunning features like Panaroma Mode for which one has to pay more. The pictures came out equisitely beautiful and videos are fantastic. At the end of the day I was wondering how could they make this camera at such an affordable price and it is steal at the offered price. I am sure that a prospective buyer will never get disapppointed on buying this camera. A very decent camera for the price.
A very decent camera. Takes very good pictures and video. Very good battery life. Easy off-load to computer. The feature set is not the best and some of the menus and controls are not optimal. However, the price is right and those short-coming can be forgiven.
