Great Binoculars!
I have heard of Minox quality optics. Not until I bought these did I verify that they are indeed amazing binoculars. The hinge in the center is tight, the focus knob is smooth and the image you see is bright and clear out to the edges of the field of view. The internal housing is an aluminum alloy covered in a rubber armor coating. Quality of materials and craftsmanship are top notch! I like 8 power or less optics as its easier to hold without shake. You really don't loose the detail of the higher powers because you have a more steady image. Try them, you wont be disappointed! If you always wanted those European binoculars that cost upwards of 2 to 3 thousand dollars, but that's not in your budget. I'm right there with you. These binoculars are the ones for you. They say on the binocular made in Germany. That's nice to see. Not where most products are mass produced today.

These are excellent binoculars for night viewing. They have great light gathering ability. Great value for the price.
