A great trivia game with some unique options.
A great title that does what it sets out to do; Make a fun trivia game for couple or a group of people. WHAT'S GOOD? Lots of questions. There's a good selection of questions to keep you busy for several hours of game-play. Lots of question styles. Not only are there lots of questions, but the way they ask you them are plentiful as well. Some audio clips, some visual, some are timed, some have answers you have to put in order, some let you throw a pie in a competitors face, and the list goes on! This makes it more than your run of the mill party game. Controls. What separates this game the most from other digital trivia and game-show style games is the controller. The Buzz! controller is held with 1 hand, is composed of a big red button on top and 4 coloured buttons down the front, and ... So, the controls are simple for anyone to use, and helps with the illusion that you are an actual contestant on a game show. So not only is the game style for large audience, including those that may not regularly play video games, the controls make it easily accessible to that audience. Up to 8 players. The Buzz! controllers come 4 at a time. Since there's 2 USB ports you can plug in to, you can have up to 8 players at once, making it a great party game. WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER? The script writer for the host did an acceptable job, but he's not overly entertaining. There's very little single player appeal. There's a decent selection of players to choose from, but a few more wouldn't have killed the developers. FINAL WORD: If you have the Buzz! controllers already, there's no reason I can see not to get this game. If you don't have the Buzz! controllers but want some light-hearted fun with you spouse or a group of friends, this is also a great option.

Packed with the game are four controllers/buzzers -- more can be purchased if you're planning on having an eight-player free-for-all -- that are tethered together and get plugged into a single PS2 USB slot. The simple design is reminiscent of an oversized remote control -- there's a large red button followed by blue, orange, green and yellow buttons -- and it serves as your gateway to getting granny, your 5-year-old niece and your best buddy to play the same game. Buzz asks a question and -- depending on the round -- you slam down on the red buzzer and choose the correct color-coded answer. This mix of straight-up word questions and photos is interwoven through most of the questions. You'll need to look at two photos of athletes and decide who was the youngest in his or her debut, identify tunes as they play on your TV and answer word problems. The "rounds" are so diverse, somebody different is bound to look like a genius in each round! Even when you get a written question, it's rare to see the game just toss up questions without some sort of gimmick. In fact, eight separate rounds keep things interesting by changing the rules and objectives. "Point Picker" has contestants picking the next category of questions off a large wheel, "Pie Fight!" lets the person with the correct answer hurl a pie in an attempt to knock his or her opponent out of the round, and a person who answers a question correct in "Globetrotter" gets to pick the next country questions will originate from. Don't like one of the mini-quizzes? You can choose to start a custom game and eliminate the bothersome round from the start. There's even an instrumental cover of Europe's classic "Final Countdown" when Buzz introduces the Final Countdown round. And that's just scratching the surface of what's on this disc. Beyond the multiplayer game show -- and the various difficulties -- you and some friends can go at it in Team Play (a mode that has you passing the buzzers amongst teammates), Quickfire Quiz (choose the number of questions you want from a list of 10 to 100 and see who has the fastest fingers) and Quizmaster (one person vocally asks their own questions, the players buzz in, and the Quizmaster uses a PS2 controller to tell people if they're right or wrong). Got no friends? The single-player mode tracks your high scores so that you can monitor your progress while weeping in your friend-less depression. A must have at any party!

I got an excellent deal on this great buzz bundle. i got the 4 buzzers the mega quiz and a promotional T-Shirt for $26 including shipping. My Family absolutly luv this game because it allows us all to play together and it gets my teen off her sidekick. { That's a plus } the ?'s are not too difficult so i find that even my 10 yr old can pose compitition. it's really fun and each game lasts about 45 minutes so if you play 2 games it's a good clean family fun night. i found that we had a good time while playing with our adult friends it's a great way to stay in and break the ice.. definately worth every penny.. i highly recommend this bundle or one like it..I got an excellent deal on this great buzz bundle. i got the 4 buzzers the mega quiz and a promotional T-Shirt for $26 including shipping. Fun game and good price!
Buzz is a general knowledge quiz game set up in a gameshow format with a pompous British host that sort of looks like a muppet. Choosing your contestant, name and buzzer sound you are equipped for the game! It's appropriate for 15 and up - as a lot of the questions are aimed at certain demographics. It's a fun game, definitely one to play with a bunch of people!

This is an interesting game for family/friends game play. As long as you don't sit there and memorize all 5000 questions, it will be fair for everyone to play against you. While the game is a little cheesy and childish, the questions however are slightly difficult. I would not compare them to Jeopardy, as Jeopardy has a much better question base, but this game is just fun to play with multiple people every now and then. The game has 4 controllers (which you will have to purchase if they don't come with the game). The controllers have a buzzer button, and 4 colored buttons. So you sit, and read the question on the screen and press the correct corresponding button to the colored answer on the screen. This is an excellent multi-player trivia game. Try it out!
