CHANGING ,ONE STEP AT A TIME
I bought this book from Ebay, after buying another one at a bookstore. In attempting to lose weight over the past umpteen years... I finally found a book that put weight loss into perspective..More importantly...it put my eating habit and patterns into perspective! True to the title of this Book.."Change One"... This book focuses on changing "one" item per week to help you work toward weight loss and healthier living. The most important thing it deals with is helping me identify portion sizes and teaching my body to eat my food slowly so that my body gets the signal that it is getting filled. This is the FIRST BOOK..that has encouraged me to practice these things so I can lose.....and I have lost... 16 and a half pounds in 7 weeks..with one major thing that I needed to LEARN...AND PUT INTO PRACTICE......SELF CONTROL!! I have also started exercising, another part of the book deals with this! I always gave myself excuses for not exercising! I have Fibromyalgia, Arhtritis in my back. etc...but doing the exercises actually helps alleviate some of the pain...but as with most exercises.... talk to your Dr. and don't overdo! If you want to challenge yourself and committ yourself to losing weight and regaining control of your health and your life...this book would be great...p.s.. it has some nice tasty recipes too!!

wanted a book that had a plan for changing life time eating habits. not just a diet that i would probably follow for just a short time and fall back on old habits and gain all the weight back. this book very very good.
