|The tiny town of Chewandswallow was very much like any other tiny town except for its weather which came three times a day, at breakfast lunch and dinner. But it never rained rain and it never snowed snow and it never blew just wind. It rained things like soup and juice. It snowed things like mashed potatoes. And sometimes the wind blew in storms of hamburgers. Life for the townspeople was delicious until the weather took a turn for the worse. The food got larger and larger and so did the portions. Chewandswallow was plagued by damaging floods and storms of huge food. the town was a mess and the people feared for their lives. Something had to be done, and in a hurry.|

the reason i bought this book was because i saw it was going to be a movie. i remember reading this book as a child with my mom and then on my own. i have a five year old son who is learning to read. i want my great memory to become one of his great memories. the book is very creative and came from a great imagination. it is even well illustrated. i love it. always have.
Great children's book
My daughter loves this story. We used to read it to her as a child. Our copy was ruined in Hurricane Fran so, with the movie coming out she went to look for the book and of course it was gone. She was so diappointed so for her 20th birthday I bought a copy. She was thrilled!! It's a classic!
