Since I already owned this set of DVDs. I ordered this set for a Christmas gift for our daughter who lives in Grand Forks. I'm sure she will love it, but we haven't had a chance to get it to her yet.

I've been a fan of the Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman series since a friend first put me onto it late in its first season. Normally I don't like westerns, but the strong and positive portrayal of the central character plus the accurate and non-stereotypical portrayal of Cheyenne Indians won me over. I had been wanting to get the series on DVD as soon as I learned it was out, but it has disappeared off the mainstream market and can only be acquired online or by mail order. The only other place I've been able to find it is selling it for around $80 per season, not including shipping--not a feasible amount for someone on a limited budget--so I turned to Ebay as a possible alternative source and was pleased to find that I can buy it here for a fraction of what it sells for elsewhere. I decided to buy this movie because I am a collector of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. I love how they take you back into the olden days of the old west and show how, even with trials, you can make a huge difference in so many peoples lives, if you just keep your endurance and inspiration. I love Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman movies and would strongly encourage everyone to watch them at least once. They really remind you of what is important and how much you can succeed and fulfill your dreams! As a parent of young ones I like the message and morals this series tries to give it viewers. So much better than reality TV or murder, rape, kill TV shows that run 24-7.
