I have carpet on my stairs and upstairs.. I use the product frequently because I have a Doberman. It helps quite a bit, and the canister is easy to empty.. also it is on the heavier side, but it doesn’t matter, it’s not like you’re going to have to bench press it. It maneuvers nicer than any vacuum I have ever used with one hand! Great vacuum!

Good vacuum
works well. empties easy. no loss of suction and cleans slightly better than my old vacuums. Only issue i have is using the hose... its very springy, so i tries to retract and can only be really used extended.... so that's odd. Other than that, I would recommend it.

Dyson DC77
The vacuum is very powerful and has excellent suction. The only drawbacks are it is way too heavy and the dust bin will always have dust stuck in it when you try to empty so you have to put your hand in there and wipe it out. Also, the extension hose you use for stairs is not that good. When you try to pull the hose, the whole vacuum slightly moves and it always feels like it will tip over. Overall it is a good machine but beware, it is extremely heavy

Bought this to replace my old DC 25. Did a quick vacuum of an area just after it arrived, was amazed at the power and just how much stuff came up from the carpet, especially considering it was vacuumed the day before using the old DC 25!! Nice job Dyson, nice job.
