I’ve seen better and worse
This cartoon (for lack of better name) was entertaining for the children and had a good moral background but lately these seem quite repetitive to full grown viewership. Worth buying but difficult to HIGHLY recommend.

Epic delivers! Amazing movie for the whole family.
I purchased this movie for my 4 and 5 year old kids and found that I had not only purchased a fantastic movie, but one that delivered a message subtly and with intelligence. This film deals with some amazingly difficult subject matter and yet isn't heavy or depressing in any way. Quite the opposite. My entire family laughed at the snails (I dare anyone not to), was grossed out by the bad bugs/guys, and generally mesmerized by the amazing graphics. Unlike other movies like Fern Gully that hit you over the head with a message, with Epic the viewer gets to decide if they want to see the message or just ignore it and enjoy the movie. Neither of my kids understood the message, but they loved the movie and begged to watch it daily since we purchased it. In my mind, if the kids and the parents can enjoy it for 25th time, it's a keeper! I would recommend this movie to anyone with kids at least 3 or 4 years of age on up. Worth the cost entirely!!
Epic (Blu-ray/DVD, 2013, 2-Disc Set, Includes Digital Copy; UltraViolet)
This movie was a big hit with my great nephew who is five years old. Part of the appeal is that it is one of the few animated movies that seems equally targeted to girls and boys -there are both a main girl and boy character, and just a tad of romance, but not so much for this to be a 'married happily ever after' princess type story. The nature animation is stunning, as is the view of the fairy world, and the human world seen from the fairy perspective. I loved the story (I have not read the book so can't compare) and felt it was all carried off very well. Recommend!
