    An absolute MUST for espresso machine owners

    This is the recommended lube for e61 brew groups of traditional manual espresso machines. It works beautifully. My machine squeaked a lot before using it. It works as new now. I am sorry I haven't used it much earlier, as some damage has already occurred, but will definitely use it regularly from now on. This is a must, and machine manufacturers should have told us to use it! (they don't; at least Bezzera doesn't). Bottom line - if you have an e61 machine, buy this stuff before you do your first chemical backflush. Enjoy!

    Too thick for using in automatic espresso machine

    There is nothing wrong with this product (and it is probably perfect for non-moving o-rings). My 3-star rating is for using Dow Corning Molykote 111 in DeLonghi automatic espresso machine brewing infuser. This lubricant makes moving the piston very hard after a few hours of non-operation.

    Very good silicone grease

    I have been using this grease for over 30 years. It is a good silicone grease for gaskets, seals, o-ring,electrical connections, etc. This is a thick grease and stays put. If you want a thinner grease for light bulb sockets and the like get compound 4. Same stuff, but thinner.

    A "Must keep on hand" like a magic marker and duct tape!

    I've used Dow 111 (now called molykote) since 1974 as a mold release, dielectric for battery terminals, and rubber seal preservative..... It's a fantastic product. A little goes along way on propeller shafts for outboard, and boat out-drives. You'll loose the cap, much before you use a whole tube!

    Great stuff!

    This made the handle on my E61 grouphead very easy to turn. I had used a different brand earlier and this is MUCH better. This little packet probably is adequate for more than 100 applications.
