Guy Laroche is a French fashion designer who began his own label in 1957. Since he was one of the first to introduce separates to the American market, he rapidly gained fame, began offering not only women but men’s fashion as well, and his clothes were widely appreciated for their practicality and vibrant colors. The company grew bigger and in 1966 began the production of fragrances – their first perfume Fidji for women represented the sunny islands not only through the name, but with its fresh composition as well.
