This motherboard seems to be a quality board. In order to overclock a cpu, I had to rollback the bios as the latest pre-installed didn't work properly with it. The only other issue I have had (which is more frustrating) is that the Ethernet port/network card doesn't seem to be recognized by the system or any windows drivers. Nothing can identify what driver I need to use it. So, I am unable to use the Ethernet port on this motherboard. Any help offered would be very much appreciated.

    • Excellent motherboard at a good price.

It's a Rev 1.1 motherboard; appears to be new, old stock, i.e. never used. The PS2 ports & the serial port are useless, just connect a USB keyboard & mouse in 2 of the 4 USB 2.0 ports. Be careful, there are many different GA-Z77....motherboards. More expensive ones don't have the PS2 & serial ports but this one is about half the price. Only issue was the CMOS battery was dead which caused strange startup behavior until it was replaced. The BIOS was an old revision but downloaded & installed a newer revision from Gigabyte's website. The BIOS is an American Megatrends which allows for all kinds of detailed settings. Installed a Corei5 CPU & four 4 GB memory modules, a Samsung 500GB SSD & a 4TB storage drive. Even had an old 24GB m-SATA drive which snaps into place with no screws. ...

    • Well it is old board, with old CPU of mine. But there is still pletny of computing power in these days.

I am glad I found LGA1155. It is working. It is great I didn't have to throw away i7-2600 processor with 16GB or RAM. It would be a pity, if it can work next few years.

    • OK but limited for overclocking

Relatively inexpensive board but unfortunately did not realize it has no voltage control options making a fixed overclock at anything approaching a higher speed impossible. You OC via the turbo boost but are then depending on auto voltages via TPD

    • Good motherboard. Got it working with no issues.

Got this motherboard to replace one that has stopped working. The replaced motherboard had been in use for 10 years. Installed easily and moved other components overs. Did have to clear CMOS to get it post. After day 1 the board is working.

    • Works perfectly

Works perfectly after installing a new bios battery (did not come installed). Appears to be in new condition.
