Over priced for a plastic item., no directions, and I still have not figured out how to use the dam thing. Qualifications: Engineers degree in Mechanics required. Maybe it does not use a cable tie that we are accustomed to buying. If somebody has working directions, send me a copy, I'd love to see how it works? I have a very minimal patient level, if I can not figure it out in 5 minutes or less it goes into the FORGET it file, thus the ratings and score.... it's cheap but it works
There are no instructions but for most people it will be easy to figure out. It tightens a ziptie much tighter than I can get it anyother way. If there is a cutoff feature or way to cut it with the tool I haven't figuered that out. I just cut the tie with wire cutters. It's not a fancy tool but it seems to be well built for the price. Some reveiws say this is to hard to figure out or use or dosent work at all. They failed the Tim Allen school, (Real men don't need instructions).There are no instructions but for most people it will be easy to figure out. works pretty good
This style worked better than 2 other pistol grip models that I tried. It is more compact so it is easier to use in tight engine bays. It will grip the ziptie tight enough - and you can pull it until the ziptie gives up and stretches where it bites onto it. (I think it is designed to bite this way because there is no way the little locking tab inside the zip tie could bite and hold under any more tension.) I filed the jaw slot a little so I could use it on all the ties that I have.This style worked better than 2 other pistol grip models that I tried.
