This is a good vacuum with a lot of power, extra long cord and easy handling. The one negative is that it is unusable on most throw rugs. The suction is too great and there seems to be no good way to keep it from sucking up the rug and locking itself in place. If you have several throw rugs you will be very disappointed!

Loud and some not-so-great features
The product emits a high-pitched, loud sound when on. Usually vacuums well, but a few times has not had the suction. The separate button to turn on the brushroll is unusual and must be turned on for the vacuum floor suction to work. Canister opens easily to empty, but hair and dirt get caught at top and I had to use a chopstick to loosen so it would come out. After reading the reviews was expecting a better product. Unwisely, I got rid of the box so can't return.

Great suction, not the best overall design
t's a good, medium sized vacuum that is light ands easy to use. It has god suction and does a great job pulling the dirt out. The negatives... It's top heavy, so it falls over easily, and you have to be careful where to set it, or it may fall over and dent or break something. Additional the seals within the tank area of the machine are not very tight. The idea you can easily dispose of the dirt in the tank, isn't quite true. You can dump it easy enough, but you be able to see a lot of dirt that has been sucked up beyond the holding tank, which requires that you disassemble the tank mechanism and cleaning it out with a portavac. Which doesn't really bother me - but there;'s no way anybody else in my family will do that Oh, and I own two of these, and they both behave the same way - so it's not just a fluke. I like it, and find it easy to use. But I sure wouldn't pay more than say $130 new. If you shop around you can get them for less.
Great packaging and great appearance but not well thought out design inside.
I ordered the Hoover as a replacement of the wore out Bissel we had for the last 10 years. The vacuum came packaged in a double box which was a big plus. It was easy to put together and it was a relatively light unit. It had a great suction but after 3 uses on my dirty carpet the vacuum started smelling like a burned wire. I thought it was a belt breaking in but when I smelled around the belted area I couldn't figure out the source of that smell. One other big minus is that there was no way to adjust the height of the brush. When I was going from carpet to the wood floor the vacuum was getting stuck to the surface fairly strong.

Easier than earlier models of same type Hoover. Now no problems going from floor pickup to wand - - just MATCH the NUMBERS - - like, "hook 1 to 1, or 2 to 2" - - makes it easy. Push button to dump. AWESOME SUCTION - - you won't believe how much dirt was still in your carpet BEFORE you got this.
