    Great Book to use in Classroom

    This book is a lot of fun to do with a class. I even learned more than I ever thought about the pumpkin. The story integrates great mathematical concepts: size, counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s, estimating, etc. We actually replicate most of the book in our PreK class.....however we only open one pumpkin and we count the seeds as the book does. Just a fun book, real concepts, that are easy to integrate into a lesson plan and classroom activity. Only pointer is to buy your pumpkins when you see a good price otherwise this activity can cost over 30 dollars....I buy three different sized ones just like the book uses.
