This spring is very weak. A 102" SS Whip or a 7 ft Skipshooter antenna whips all over the place. The skipshooter bends out sideways going around curves at just 35 mph! It is a horrible spring. Maybe, just maybe I got a weak one. I don't know. It is one of the weakest springs I've ever seen and, I've been in the radio and antenna hobby for nearly 40 yrs. I DO NOT recommend this spring.

    Don't buy it!

Not impressed. Period! This thing, (Spring), will NOT hold a 7 ft Skip Shooter or a 102" SS Whip! They sway all over the place. I had to go back and use my old 1960's model barrel spring which is VERY STRONG! And I've been in radio and antennas since the mid 1970's! Never seen such a horrible product. This Hustler spring will even lay back some at 55 mph with just a 5 ft firestik or other comparable antenna. This is the worst so called "Heavy Duty", spring I've ever used. Maybe I was sent a weak one I don't know. It is useless, imho. So, I DO NOT RECOMMEND this Hustler spring. Period!

  • Shorter but stronger

A little shorter than my original spring (1 ") but it is much stronger, so I will use it. I like the wrench flats on each end.

  • Spring for a 102" CB antenna

Great price great product easy installation appears to be well made

  • Not Strong Enough

Nice springs, not strong enough for 7’ SkipShooter antennas though. Antennas were flailing about, beating the cab of Freightliner. May be more suitable for whips or shorter fiberglass.
