When Jennifer is brutally raped by a bunch of sadistic hooligans, she sets off on a killing spree to wreak vengeance against her attackers, in this DVD, killing them in the most unimaginable way that forms the plot for the "I Spit on Your Grave" movie. This DVD also features an audio commentary from director Steven R. Monroe and producer Lisa Hansen on the making of this film. Featuring deleted scenes, theatrical trailers and a radio spot, this horror film includes interesting bonus material. What’s more, the "I Spit on Your Grave" DVD also features a special documentary that traces the story of Jennifer Hills and her revenge.

THERES A LOT OF SPIT BEFORE THE GRAVE

BACK IN THE 80S THIS FILM TITLE WAS NOTORIOUS AND BECAME ONE OF THE VIDEO NASTIES,A RATHER LOW BUDGET RAPE REVENGE THRILLER COME HORROR,THAT I DIDNT SEE UNTIL I PURCHASED THE BOX OF THE BANNED,AND THAT VERSION IS STILL CUT. SO MOVING ON 30 YEARS THIS FILM GETS A REMAKE AND THE MAKERS OF IT HAD TO RELEASE IT UNRATED IN THE STATES WHICH MEAN THEY CANT ADVERTISE IT AND GAIN VERY LITTLE FROM PROMOTION OR HAVE IT TRIMMED BY THE MPAA THAT IT WOULD LEAVE LITTLE TO SHOCK OR HAVE THE IMPACT IT SO DESIRED. I SAW THIS AT FRIGHTFEST IN ITS CUT FORM AND ITS NOT AN EASY WATCH AT ALL,AND LIKE THE TITLE OF THE REVIEW SUGGESTS,THERES A LOT OF SPIT BEFORE WE GET TO THE GRAVE. ITS A HORROR ROLLER COASTER WHERE THE ASCENT IS REALLY TOUGH AND NERVE WRACKING AND WILL HAVE YOU ON THE EDGE,SQUIRMING VERY UNCOMFORTABLY IN YOUR SEAT,THE DESCENT IS THE RELEASE WHERE REVENGE IS SWEET AND SERVED UP VERY COLD IN DEED. ITS WELL MADE AND FULL MARKS GOT TO THE ACTORS WHO HANDLE A DIFFICULT FILM WELL AND THE GIRL IS AN AMAZING ACTRESS TO PULL THIS OFF AND ACT THE WAY SHE DID. THIS VERSION IS UNCUT AND UNLIKE THE UK VERSION WHICH IS CUT. I DIDNT BOTHER WITH THE BLURAY VERSION AS I WASNT SURE IF IT WAS REGION LOCKED OR NOT.

Remake makes more sense but...

First, you must be a fan of the 1978 film to really appreciate this movie. That being said, the scenario makes more sense than the original film but I was disappointed with the rape scenes. Those scenes are what makes this revenge movie works and they are not quite shocking enough compared to the revenge scenes. The original film, was the opposite, had more nudity and graphic rape scenes but the revenge sequences were kind of laim except for the one in the bathtub... Any horror with violence movie fan can enjoy this film which is quite good over all.

A Decent Remake

I saw the original ISOYG when I was a kid which I probably shouldnt have been watching but whatever. It really made Me sick. This girl gets brutaly attacked by 4 men, and they pretty much do everything. Its just bad. But if You can stomach all that, its excellent to see the girl get revenge afterwards figuring they left her for dead on top of all the brutality. She does them all up in the worst ways and You cheer Her on. Now in the remake pretty much same deal except now You have a 5th attacker. Is it worse than the original...I cant really say this ones brutal too. But I will say the revenge scenes are more entertaining. Im not too thrilled with all the remakes these days but Id say this is one of the better ones. DVD is in mint condition and works great.

Revenge is a BITCH!

This is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. I LOVE revenge and this movie is the king of sweet revenge. This movie has things in it that are very deserving to the characters that earned the revenge. Scum bags loose in this flick.
