    A much cheaper solution, though a little confusing

    John Deere wanted just over $100.00 for the part. So this was much cheaper. I have mowed with tractor 2 times and it runs fine. The negative part was it required re-wiring on the engine to install all the included parts. I was able to use the original connectors on the motor, so I did no re-wiring.

    It works but not without modifications.

    I lost spark on my JD 260 mower and decided to try this. All I needed was the capacitor from the parts included in this kit. It solved the problem but it was NOT plug and play. The electrical connector tab on the capacitor was smaller than OEM and I had to replace the female end on the wiring harness. No big deal but it required additional parts. The instructions were not helpful and didn't apply to my model.

    excellent product follow the enclosed instructions for an easier experience very satisfied!

    This product worked great for me. I put it in a Stihl 032 and it starts like it did 33 years ago! follow the enclosed wiring diagram for an easier experience. Thanks, these are hard to find at saw/mower shops.

    Nice micro small !

    Seen video on you tube were they use on mcculloch chain saw were it replaced points and condenser my saw lost spark know it has good spark again can't wait to reassemble it and put it too work again.

    Works with some tweaking

    Unit worked on my John Deere LX176 tractor with the Kawasaki FC420v engine. Only reason not 5 stars is that the terminal spade is not as wide as the original. One must either “crimp down” the tractor end wiring connector or build an adapter wire to go between the module and the harness. I choose the latter solution. I used the included wire, which has the correct module fitting, cut it down, and crimped on a standard 1/4 inch male spade terminal that fits the tractor’s harness.
