The product was great for updating to a low end multi-threading computer. This is a relatively low wattage / low heat CPU that can be a work horse.

The little engine that could....
I bought this processor to replace an i5-4690K that was overheating (around 88 watts heat dissipation) in a tiny HTPC ITX case. With this processors 55 watt heat dissipation, it immediately booted up, and I didn't have to reload the OS. The cpu temperature was steady and well below the max allowed. With those two wins I was already happy but the performance was a touch sluggish compared to the i5. I went into the BIOS on the Asus motherboard, turned on the turbo setting, and adjusted the fans (still quiet).... voila! Now I have the same perceived performance as the i5, the heat dissipation is controlled (I must admit to changing the thermal paste) and the video is just as good.
