    up lifting experience.

    This is my favorite CD/DVD by him.I love every song on it. I love that most of his CD's come with a DVD of the concert. i have never seen him in concert and this is the next best thing to it. i also love the behind the scenes making of the video. It is fascinating.I highly recommend it.

    Awake Live CD & DVD-Groban, Josh 2008.

    This was a wonderful combo DVD-CD. Superior Video quality and Audio as well. DVD on my Sony LCD 46" 108OP HD-TV was amazing! This performance was as good as the live performance of the concert here in Orange County, Calif. my wife went to last year. I decided to buy this performance, which was recorded live from Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, since the New York City performance DVD-CD combo wasn't availabe on eBay. The NYC DVD-CD combo was a minimum $100 purchase through my local PBS channel through membership donation only. I bought this DVD-CD performance for much less--$17.50 I believe, plus shipping & handling. Roughly 1/4 of the price of the PBS offered NYC concert. For those on a budget who are Josh Groban fans, but can't afford the $100 or $250 donation to get ...

    Great concert, great DVD

    This is a great recording of a wonderful performance. Nice camera work, great sound quality, and an entertaining "making of" segment make this an all-around terrific product. The performance shows the Groban's breadth of talent, with a mix of the more classically styled pieces, techno pop, and songs with strong world music influences. Interestingly, most of the stand-out songs are the ones he wrote, including Machine, February Song, Lullaby, and Awake. We also get to see Groban's talent as a musician--he's a fantastic piano player and a decent drummer. The CD is a nice extra, but the DVD is the reason to buy this product. It's well worth the money.

    The CD is great, but the DVD is better.

    This live album continues Josh's fine tradition of satisfying his fans with live versions of music from his studio albums, adding a few twists here and there, and also giving us something new. In this case, it was his duet with Angelique Kidjo on "Pearls". The CD is good, as we all expect from him. The DVD, however, is really what makes this worth buying. If you compare Josh's performance here with, say, his "Live in Concert" or "Live at the Greek" shows, you can see how much he's grown, not just as a singer, but as an all-around entertainer. He interacts with the crowd more, at one point even coming from the back of the arena in one aisle to sing and shake hands with his fans all the way down to the stage.     Excellent live CD and concert DVD by a superb performer. Josh Groban has an incredible voice and it really shines in this performance. Excellent value getting both the CD and DVD in one package.
