Written in modern language an account of Jesus life and death.
I bought this book in order to read in modern language an account of Jesus life while he lived on earth, and the circumstances surrounding his death. The Bible is hard for me to read because of the language of the time as written by different people that lived back then. This book relays events in history is a manner that is easier for me to read. I catch myself re-reading some passages in order to sort out the people that lived then, how they interacted with Jesus, the political system and the religious customs of that time. I was a little put off by the title, "Killing Jesus", as it may be interpreted by some as disrespectful to Jesus, although I do not think Mr. O'Reilly meant any disrespect. This book is to me a historical resource for learning more about Jesus and why he was murdered, and how he came to be by far the most revered person of all time.
This book gives great detail of the events leading up to and including Jesus' death.
All of the Bill O'Reilly "Killing" series of books are great. I like that he took on a topic that is difficult because of such a lack of information about Jesus' life. There was approximately a 20-year gap of history of what Jesus did from the time he was an early teen-ager until he was in his early 30's. However, the book gave a great historical review of Jesus life and the difficult time of his death.

Very well written
This was strictly an historic objective recount of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Mostly the information is obtained from the Bible but some other sources are also used. Most everything I already knew of my lifetime of reading my Bibles and church attendance. The best sentence of the whole book is that the body of Jesus has never been found and that is because He is at the right hand of His Father God awaiting His appointed time to return for those who have believed Him for salvationI want him. and eternal Life in His Presence in Heaven.
