|Thirty years after the destruction of the planet Helghan, the Vektans and the Helgan survivors each share half of the planet Vekta. They live in a tense social and political state with a massive wall separating each side from the other. "Killzone: Shadow Fall" for the Sony PlayStation 4 starts out with you as Kellan, a Vektan Shadow Marshal. Kellan is working to stop bold attacks and secret infiltration into their side of the city. These attacks are perpetrated by Helghan factions who still hold a grudge. The story features an array of twists and turns. Allies become enemies and vice versa. Fans of political intrigue and character-driven plots will thoroughly enjoy the "Killzone: Shadow Fall" campaign."Killzone: Shadow Fall" has the gameplay to back its story up. In combat, Kellan will wield an array of weapons. There are standard weapons, such as pistols and assault rifles, and futuristic weapons, such as high-powered lasers. You'll also have access to the OWL, a small flying drone. The OWL can stun your enemies and create zip lines that let you quickly get to a new location. The controls are tight, meaning that your button presses instantly display on the screen. While previous Killzone games focused on large-scale war, the city setting of "Shadow Fall" makes for a different experience. You'll frequently find yourself sneaking around, picking off Helghast one enemy at a time. However, that's not to say Guerrilla Games completely abandoned giant battles. In some single-player levels, you'll be fighting against an unrelenting horde of Helghast from all sides. At times, you'll be joined by Echo, an NPC who shares similar goals as Kellan. Once the campaign mode is complete, hop online for some multiplayer action. Team up with friends or find players online to form your teams and fill roles as medic, tactician, marksman, and assault soldier. Work together, and you might just stop another war from breaking out. "Killzone: Shadow Fall" features 10 multiplayer maps all ranging in size and complexity. Players can also tweak each map, creating custom modes they can share with friends. As you win multiplayer games, you'll earn skill points you can use to increase your character. You'll also unlock new weapons that can give you an advantage in your next game. The game is rated M for Mature because of blood, violence, and language."Killzone: Shadow Fall" had a release date of November 15, 2013, the same day the PlayStation 4 released. Sony Computer Entertainment chose "Killzone: Shadow Fall" to be an example of the graphics the system could provide. As such, the game has jaw-dropping visuals no matter what mode you choose to play. This video game features realistic lighting, lifelike character models, and high-resolution textures. Guerrilla Games also put in the effort to ensure the sound design was equally impressive. The game's composer is Tyler Bates, who also worked on the "Guardians of the Galaxy" feature film."Killzone: Shadow Fall" was the first PS4 game to sell over a million copies. It's easy to see why, thanks to its well-written story and action-packed combat. This PS4 shooter deserves a place in any PlayStationcollection.|

This game has a unique story line, fun to play and captivating enough to get a 4 star rating. The graphics aren't bad, they aren't the best, but they're good enough to rate just a bit above average by todays standards. It's not a game I would spend $60.00 on, so if you can get it cheap enough, somewhere around the mid 20's range, then it will definitely be worth it.

It was ok for a mindless action shooter
While it is a fun game, the story line is very confusing. The acting is mediocre. However, if all you want is to mindlessly shoot random enemy combatants, then switch sides and kill your own team, then this is the game for you.

Another Great Killzone Installment
I was really happy to see a 4th installment to the "Killzone" series on the PS4. I have been a fan of Killzone since its release back on the PS2 system. I really enjoyed "Shadowfall" I felt it was a great addition to the game franchise. I read some reviews that featured complaints that the game did not follow the all out action Killzone style. I found this not to be the case. The difference from this game between the others is the "stealth" concepts (you are a playing as a "Shadow Marshall" so there is more sneaking around & using gadgets) but there are plenty of cool weapons & good amounts high speed action. I also really enjoyed the soundtrack it was very industrial & dark. Overall "Shadowfall" was a super experience & I really enjoyed the riveting storyline. The ending may not have been what everyone wanted but I was satisfied. Excellent game!

Just like is's supposed to do....
Alright...so lets begin with the idea that most who will buy this video game have played the others in the series...that said then a good percentage of the gameplay is "as expected", What I, specifically, liked about this game was the familiarity and how comfortable I was almost from the start. Granted, it did offer some challenge, and if you were so inclined could offer greater challenge. Only gamers of a specific caliber can complain that it offered no challenge whatsoever because if they do then they are at once lying and if not lying then they are not being honest about what skill level they are playing at. But I digress...What this game does offer is a bit more of the story of the battle between two armies and a chance to get in some pretty cool combat sessions and did I mention that the graphics are very, very NICE. The story is not hard to follow and is easy to pick back up if you have to be away from it for any length of time. So overall good bang for your buck. Of course the less expensive the better so wait a little while and you won't regret buying and owning this little gem to play when your just bored with all of the hype about how great on-line gaming is. This great for a lazy afternoon, just you and the game...ENJOY!!!

Great game, campaign and multiplayer alike.
Killzone: Shadowfall is a compliment to the classic series that PlayStation fans have come to love. This first person shooter offers a plot heavy campaign revolving around the newly introduced shadow marshal and his struggle for true justice with help from what appears to the naked eye as the antagonist. Regardless of how you feel towards this launch title's story mode, it is commonly agreeable that Killzone Shadowfall brings to the table what gamers have long desired, next-generation multiplayer. Shadowfall optimizes the opportunities of the PlayStation 4 and provides an emmersive and simply fun experience for maximum replayability and countless hours onlone.
