I use it with my IC-7300
While these are definitely Heil, they work very well for a fraction of the price. The mic boom takes a bit to shape and position to where you want it. I would not really call them noise canceling but more noise reducing. I could still hear my 2m radio while working 80m,but what do you really expect for a headset less than $60. I am very satisfied with them and would recommend them to someone that wants to use a headset but doesn't have a big budget to work with. I get good reports of sound quality back on 80m. I don't like Closed Back phones
I can hear fine and talk fine with this but my personal experience with it was disappointing. First of all there is no "in-line" mute control, which is a big deal, to mute sneezing or coughing during a call. I like over the ear style but prefer open back style of other phones so I can hear some of my natural background. I work from home and not in a cube farm so that may be why. Nice product for Amateur Radio use
I bought this for use with an ICOM IC-746 radio. It is very comfortable to wear and the microphone, in my opinion, sounds better than the CM-500 headset to which it has been compared. NOTE: This headset works with several Icom radios that use the electret microphone. Compares with the CM-500. The KOSS SB-40 will not work with the IC-746. Good quality and price. Excellent stereo sound and works with Dragon Naturally Speaking. Full sized and comfortable. Does fold ear pieces but mike boom remains out. No installation setup on Windows 7. Just plug it in to USB port. I did have to adjust some settings in Control Panel/Hardware and Sound to get it properly configured for Naturally Speaking. Also, unlike my wireless headphones, if set to default speaker, when plugged in, it will mute your computer system speakers. If your system speakers are also set to default, they will function normally when the headset is unplugged. Would recommend.Good quality and price. Typical great Koss quality
Mic is very sensitive and the earphones are accurate in sound quality. Ear cushions could be a little softer though. Just a great value overall.
