It does the job and it does it very well!
I was between a rock and a hard place, then I found this wireless router. I had switched to a different phone company that goes through my cable modem. I found out the hard way (because the cable company didn't inform me) that I can't use a splitter and have two modems, one for internet and one for the phone system. The cable company won't allow it (so you'll obviously want to use their phone system and they can make more money). So, for a while, I couldn't use the phone system the same time I was using the internet, and vice versa. I was told I could probably use a switch to solve this problem, I bought a brand new switch, but that didn't solve the problem. I still couldn't use the internet the same time I was using the phone system. I got a refund on the switch, and someone else ... I guess I'm not supposed to mention the phone company's name, but I'm saving a lot of money, I can tell you. The wireless signal from this router always comes in strong. I'm using it right now. I like to listen to music videos from the internet with headphones on, and I swear the music comes in stronger and clearer now, and my internet speed is only about 2 MBPS. This wireless router can handle a lot more MBPS, but I don't even need it. I should mention, I bought this Linksys Cisco wireless router used (refurbished). I can't imagine a brand new one would work even better. They must have built these right to begin with.

To down load the info needed to use this item. & when you put in the IP Address as told, It bring you to many Co. trying to sell you something for the unit too work. I didn't but this Item to spend more money on getting it too work. Nothing jives with what you are told from CO. too Co.
