    Minolta f/1.4 58mm MD Lens

The Minolta 58mm is a legendary lens, produced in Four (4) rather compatible forms. I am PROUD to own one -- because THIS ONE is an EXCELLENT example! Clear, Sharp, Fast, and Anastigmatically Accurate. It will be my "Go-to" Standard Lens (35mm). And I got it on EBAY!

  • Great vintage lens! Sharp and fast with good bokeh.

Great lens! Please note that this the later version iwth the scalloped aperture ring. Very happy with the performance on a digital camera using a cheap Fotasy adapter.

  • Quality Lens for art photography.

That is a some serious quality Lens for art (including portrait) photography. Here is some small flaws from digital photographers angle: non-light-weight, non-AF. More- that lens has a small flange focal distance (43,5 mm), it make some problems to use it (with bayonet adapters) in full volume with most popular DSLR cameras brands (Nikon, Canon). In that time too easy to use that Lens with any mirrorless interchangeable-lens cameras (Pentax, Nikon, Sony, Olympus, Panasonic, Fujifilm, Canon etc). That Lens has a large aperture. It makes possible to works in limited illumination conditions. Beautiful rendition. Crazy bokeh! As for me, I bought that one for myself. I shutting with Sony Nex-5 and very satisfied.

  • Minolta 58mm Rokkor PF 1.4 lens

Seems to work properly lens opens nice and wide, I plan on using this lens for portraits on an APSC Sony lens. So far i've done a few test shots and two portraits and I am happy with the quality of the results and the lens as well.

  • A low cost, classic lens that is an excellent performer.

A classic gem. Very well built. A bit heavy compared to others but well built and very sharp stopped down. On a crop sensor camera with adapter, you have a 85mm - 90mm portrait lens that creates excellent results @ F2.0! A bit soft for my liking @ F1.4, but stopped down its great.
