A real need for many antenna users.

This particular unit was very useful for my situation. It seems most effective when the gain is turned up to almost the maximum. I don't know if that speaks to the quality of the unit or the weakness of the signal it has to deal with. In any case, this does the job and was very affordable. Beats cable fees by a mile, and worth more.......

  • Top critical review

    zero db

I purchased this amplifier and gave it a good try. I also compared it with 3 other amps to see the difference in signal strengths and how many DTVs I can receive. It was connected to a Channel Master 8 bay 4228 UHF antenna on a tower at 27 feet. It was as if there was no amp connected at all. Once I disconnected this Trisonic and returned to a simple 8 db splitter and booster, several signals from 70 miles re-appeared. Sorry, this is NOT a good product

  • Do not use this RF with an antenna

Attached this device to my exterior antenna. I checked this against an older amplifier (which will go to a new location) and have good reception with the old antenna amplifier (30 +) stations. This amplifier shows no improvement in reception over a signal that is directly connected to an un-amplified antenna. I have not checked this with a cable or dish system, as I have "unplugged" myself from pay sources. Not a good value (IMHO).

  • Might work but didn't help

I had put a different brand antenna amp on our main tv that helped its reception so I bought this antenna amp for the new tv I had just bought for my mancave because it didn't have as good reception as my older unit. However, this didn't help the reception, so I tried my antenna extender from my other tv but it didn't help either. Therefore, I can't comment on whether or not this antenna amp is any good. My guess is that maybe the antenna amps don't work on the newer electronics.

  • Save Your Money or Try a Differant Booster

I was hoping to ditch my Dish Network and save a few bucks monthly so I got family a OTA antenna and was getting 15 channels with "No" booster. Thought with a TV signal booster I could at least get a couple more and then I would drop Dish Network. When I attached the Trisonic I had "NO" signal at all with "Any" Channel...Tried FM in - FM out with low gain then high gain max and everything in between. Auto-scanned my TV for channels every time I adjusted this "booster"...(lol), in anyway. After about 2 hours of trying to get any signal and after trying every conceivable configuration, out of this so-called signal booster...I went from 15 channels to "Zero" channels....Sooo into the trash it goes. At least now I have my 15 channels back. ;)
