    For people who collect or are only interested in beads, this is the definitive work. It covers more than thirty thousand years of beadmaking, their uses, and their trade and travel around the world. The fold-out timeline of beads, near the back of the book, is especially useful as an overview of millenia of bead production. If you are to have only one book on beads, this is the most comprehensive with many color illustrations.
