Product has excellent range and very good speed. Definitely best bang for the buck.
Let There Be WiFi
I thought it would be easy to connect a TP-Link Range Extender to a TP-Link Router—and it was. Press a button on the router and another on the extender and the device sets itself up in a few minutes. Unfortunately while the router and the extender connected with each other I couldn’t get the extended network to connect to my devices. Fortunately TP-Link’s Tech Support is excellent. I got a quick response back on my email with a solution that actually worked. This involved upgrading the firmware (kind of scary ‘cause if something goes wrong… I shudder to think…) and running Setup manually from a web browser. It also involved a lot of crawling around on the floor messing with cables—a chore I was really hoping to avoid. None-the-less, I now have WiFi where I never had it before. Like all the way out the back door to the far end of the yard. Not sure that I’ll ever need WiFi in the outback, but it’s really nice to have it in my kitchen—previously a notorious dead zone. To help you find the ideal location to site the extender there’s a nifty little app you can download called the TP-Link Tether, which also lets you monitor the status of all your TP-Link devices. Although I had some initial difficulties getting the extender set up, in the end I’m very pleased with the RE305’s performance. I now get a nice strong signal everywhere in my house. No more dropped connections. I dinged the RE305 one star only because it was more frustrating and complicated to set up out of the box than it should have been. And also because I had to assign the extended networks different names from the host networks in order to connect to my devices, which necessitates manually switching networks when I move to a part of the house not well served by the router. I would have liked the extended network to seamlessly pick up the connection where the router left off. But it’s a minor inconvenience and an acceptable trade off to have WiFi everywhere.

Convenient Wi-Fi Extender
This device is very easy to setup. The procedure is very straighforward. It has a physical RJ45 port where you can use to expan your network connection through TP-LINK. I recommend it.

WiFi Range Extender
My original PS4 only connects to 2.4GHz band and gets speeds <15 Mbps and constantly lags. Setup took only a few minutes. Now running a direct Ethernet line to the extender with connection speed around 80 Mbps :)
