Who's the 'boomer' that thought to use an old school DIN plug for the MIDI out? Buy that guy a beer!
Its a lot of keyboard for the money. Much more than a video game controller. fer sure 5 key polyphony and pressure sensitive switches, some blls a couple of whistles and I'm still working out the abilities of the MIDI controller. It's heavy and feels solid to play on, unless the keys are packing lead, I'd say this is a decent score for anyone with a need to explore MIDI and learn the ways of the force with a ruggedly handsome specimen. The keyboard is pretty good looking too! Speaking of the force, I am a tried and true Linux user and advocate, and I was even able to get this beast to work on Manjaro (ARCH) Linux under the current (RT) kernel 2.15-rt, using the "BAT52/rb3-driver" which can be found on Github. Now I just have to learn how to properly use the thing.. Back to the studio I ... Its a lot of keyboard for the money. Big change from the guitar, but still a lot of fun!
I used to play Rock Band 3 on my Xbox 360, which I sadly sold almost a year ago. I have been fiending to play ever since. I am still waiting for arrival of a guitar controller I won, but decided I would give this puppy a try in the meantime. Boy, what a change from the guitar. I have played electric guitar for over 20 years, and took piano lessons for a few months in high school, but this thing kicked my butt! Took me a minute to realize the first five keys, from the left, were the ones to use, ha ha. Totally fun, though. Absolutely wonderful! It did not come in the red box, it came in like a white flowers box with a little window in it, but it looks great. Has the plastic little sheet covers over stuff and everything dongle inside box. I am EXTREMELY happy. Giving it to my son for Christmas in the box it came it. I got it in three days I think, in any case way sooner than I expected. I can not say enough good about this and I will be adding this store.Absolutely wonderful!
