I bought this for my boyfriend for a birthday present because he has been dying to play Mario Kart Double Dash. We have been playing Mario Kart on N64 a lot lately, and needed a change. So far so good! We played Mario Party 5 on this console last night and everything seems to be in working order. The console, controllers, and memory card all seem to be in good shape. I'm excited that I found a console for this good of a price, in this good of a condition, and I look forward to playing on it more.

A convenient console to have and works well
*~*I recently purchased this product and it works to the maximum extent. The product is in good condition and it comes with everything you need! This is an older game console and is hard to come across. I haven't experienced anything bad with it thus far. If you have kids, or even playing it yourself, it's a great opportunity to sit back and relax and have some fun time and take your mind off of stress relating to real life issues. You will be very pleased when you find something productive to do in your spare time and not have a worry in the world. In today's society, being able to focus on games and other fun activities/entertainment will sure be a way to forget about the things that can take a toll on your life. I would surely recommend this product to anyone who is interested in purchasing game consoles.*~*
Quality system with fun games
This is a great console, it has good graphics, many great games, and is built to last. Not to mention it's all pretty cheap now, making it well worth it! I have had 3 of these of which 1 went bad, the laser gets out of focus on some systems, it's not an easy fix but it can be done. The controllers for these are also rock solid yet very comfortable. There are many great accessories as well, such as the game boy player. This may be an old system but it's still really fun.
Perhaps the Best 6th-Gen Video Game Console
Before I purchased the PS2 Slim and the XBOX, my sister and I received our second Nintendo video game system as a Christmas gift - the Nintendo GameCube. It's platinum-colored, and it came with two controllers and a copy of Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. Perhaps my most memorable gaming moments ever are with the GameCube. The Gamecube is small, lightweight, and quiet. Up to four controllers can be used at once. The graphics are incredible, not too unlike XBOX graphics. It can produce high-quality audio. The game selection, though probably not as huge as the PS2's library, is very good, with memorable titles like Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Metroid Prime. I like the controller layout as well; but it doesn't feel as durable as the XBOX "S" controller, though I would say it is pretty comfortable (plus, I would assume that, being lightweight, children would have an easier time playing on the GameCube than if the controller had been heavier). A downside to the GameCube is the lack of standard features - there's no standard hard drive like on the XBOX, or standard DVD support like on the PS2; however, the GameCube does accomplish its main goal - to play video games, which it does do very well. Overall, I think the GameCube may be my personal favorite video game console of all time, next to the Nintendo 64 and the Nintendo NES. God bless!
Amazing for a system from 2001
I mostly bought it for the childhood nostalgia but its a great system that runs well. Many amazing games were released for the Gamecube as well so it adds to the fun experience this system gives so well. The graphics compared to modern systems is crap but you have to remember this is from 2001 so when that is taken into account it's actually pretty great. The design is pretty interesting, and it takes up little space. The system can hold up to 4 players and two memory cards so group play with friends is pretty darn great. overall it's a great system for its time and if you want the nostalgic feelings from the early 2000's i highly recommend this product
