Not the same as original circuit breaker model
From the on set let me say that by in large it does exactly what it says it will do. I am a owner of multiple chords like this from D"Addario and overall have been pleased. Now to this version.... Had I known that it is only momentary breaks the circuit, (as long as you as you continually hold the button) I might have re-thought out my purchase. I not only purchased a new cable but also an additional plug with circuit breaker feature. The "Original" cable(s) when you pushed button it was off until you pushed it in again at which time it would release circuit break and the cable again was hot. I truly believe in innovation but I prefer the original which leaves for me less chance for potential noise pop if hand functions were to slip in transitioning for what ever reason. Would I ... The circuit breaker mechanism is a great idea and does work as designed. However, the end that goes into my guitar continually pops back out. I have never had this happen with this guitar with any of several other brands of cables over several years of use, and still don't have problems with any other cables now. The seller told me that "it must be an issue with my guitar" when I complained that I couldn't use it while playing live. WOW! Has to be the first thing that comes to mind when you sit down to play your guitar with this cord! Not only is this cord beautiful and tough looking, (at the same time), but the quality of sound that comes from your amp, will amaze you. Gone are the days of static and popping noises, that would normally come out of the amp. The clarity of this cord is unmatched by all the cords I've ever used in the past. With that said, I quickly ordered me another one for backup, just in-case I would need One, (not that I ever will). Simply put, this is an awesome looking and sounding cord, and "by the way", "it's very reasonably priced! Take it from me, I've been playing guitar for 38years, grab you one, plug it in, hit a couple of sweet notes and Hang On, you'll be glad you did. I've enjoyed ... WOW! This is my 6th Circuit Breaker cable. Had one failed switch but it has lifetime warranty so Planet Waves promptly replaced it. Very functional, thick, quality cable. Can't beat the warranty.

Nice cable, but it's nearly impossible to operate.
Ordered this cable as I switch guitars and bases often in my studio. Great idea, but the button is very hard to get to work all the time and most often if it's not depressed EXACTLY right, and fully down, which is hard to do, it's no better than a normal cord. Maybe I got a bad one? Not sure, but not willing to buy another to find out. Great idea if it would work as expected. Now it's just a wall hanger.
