The leather is in superb condition, it shows no tears or abrasions, and is very live and flexible, and perfectly clean. The steel spring clips are in great shape, with all original paint in mint condition, no corrosion, no paint loss, no problems. The green-painted adjusting buckle is in mint condition. This sweatband is just about as it came from the factory in late 1943. It is essentially brand new even though it is 75 years old. Guaranteed original 1943 manufacture, not a reproduction.”
