Simply great Scanner
I was not to sure about this scanner when I read about it as it was not really expensive like some I had looked at. But when I got it in and used it I was very impressed with it. So happy that I ordered it. I am cataloging old photo's for the children so they can all have copies and no fighting over photo's when I pass. And I am so happy with the Quaility of the pictures. Even the really old and faded photo's are copying so well. I had some little 1"x2" thumbnail photo's and I took and scanned some of them to see how they would do and I could not believe it. They scanned larger and the clarity was great. And those little photo's were taken back in the late 1940's early 1950S.Can't tell you how happy I was. I would most definately recommend this scanner. My only wish is that it would scan larger photo's. But I have my big scanner for that. And I see they do make one to scan the 8x10 photo's. But I also have the hand held wand scanner for the 8x10's and it is great also. Between the two scanners I can scan about anything. I have attached a couple of the 1"X2" photo's. (Black & Whites) And one color photo to show the Quaility.

a part was missing
I bought this device for negatives. There was no adapter with it to copy the negatives. it also did not come with a manual so i went online and got the manual. According to the manual it should have come with an adapter to feed the negatives into the device. When the negatives are fed directly into the device they do not show the developed picture. As far as I can tell it copies photos fine. I would be satisfied if the adapter was with it. Sherry Lowe

For the money, great buy.
If you have a stack of paper photos that you need digitized, this is the most convenient device I have seen as it does not need a computer to do its work. Pictures are fed through one at a time and saved on the SD card. Picture quality is only what the device default is since there are no controls on the exterior for that, but still very acceptable for run of the mill pictures.
Fantastic product for home user.
I have recently started scanning my old 35mm negatives and this item makes it so simple. A lot of other negative scanners will only scan 1 negative at a time, but with this item, it will scan an entire negative strip in less than 3 seconds using the included adaptor attachment. You can save your scan to either your computer (you must install the accompanying software) or to the included SD card. Very easy to use and installing the software took only minutes. This item is geared towards the "home" user and is not "professional" grade. It does NOT run on a rechargeable battery as you must plug it into an electrical source. (Power cord included.) Scanning photos is just as simple. You can scan in either in 300dpi ~or~ 600dpi mode. My only wish is that Pandigital had included adaptors for the 110, 126, & 120 "medium" negative formats as this would've been my all-in-one photo scanner. I just love this item. Too bad Pandigital went out of business.
Pandigital PANSCNO5 Picture, Slide & Negative Scanner
This scanner is the most amazing little machine ever! I had boxes of pictures and negatives in my closet and had no idea what they were, especially the negatives. I hooked up this little machine, attached it to my computer. Very simple process by the way. Pushed the included attachment into scanner and started loading my old negatives into scanner. As it feed through the machine up popped years of memories on my computer screen!!!! Wow, they were in full color and very clear. I also ran black and white negatives with the same result. I can now print pictures or organize in folders for each child or occassion and put on disc as a slide show or prints. Wonderful and so easy to use my grandchildren have been using it too! The kids had no idea what a negative was until I got this scanner, now they think they are magic picture makers. Every family that lived before digital photography should have one.
