This coolant bottle works after you purchase a Expansion Tank Plug Kit (1265000084) for older Mercedes. I have a 1975 450 SEL Mercedes and it doesn't have the coolant level sensor so the plug kit will plug the sensor hole. Also you need an adapter to go from existing size hose 5/8" ID to 1" ID to fit on new tank.

    this is a great product!!!

    This product looks like it just came from the factory. It was easy to install. I had a leak and I thought that this would solve it. but it turned out that the leak was coming from the cap. Still after 230,000 miles my 300SEL looks mush better with this new reservoir.
