Released in 2012, the Ratchet & Clank Collection is a compilation of the first three Ratchet & Clank games. These three video games originally appeared on the PlayStation 2. Insomniac Games developed all three of these games for Sony Computer Entertainment. The games in this collection feature remastered 1080p graphics and stereoscopic 3D support. These new graphics let you see details that weren’t apparent in the original releases. The remastered graphics also allow for smoother gameplay as each game is locked at 60 frames per second. Each game in the series also features an individual trophy set. If you're looking to complete the video games in this set to the fullest, expect over 50 hours of enjoyable gaming."Ratchet & Clank" introduced the world to the eccentric Ratchet and his lovable robot Clank. The two of them visit a number of alien worlds and meet a colorful cast of characters. Along the way, they wield more than 10 different types of weapons. You'll start the game with melee-based weapons like the wrench. By the end of the game, you'll have weapons that suck up enemies like vacuums and a glove that throws grenades. While you primarily play as Ratchet, on some occasions the gameplay switches over to Clank. His missions are more puzzle-focused and require brains over brawn."Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando" is the second title in this Sony series. Like the first title, the sequel is also in the action genre. This PlayStation title features a whopping 18 new tools of destruction. For example, one gun shoots lava all over your enemies, burning them to a crisp. Another gun shoots thousands of projectiles at once. If you've completed the first title, you can unlock your old weapons immediately. "Going Commando" introduced new game types to the franchise, such as combat arenas, hover-bike races, and battles in outer space. After completing the title, you can replay it on a harder difficulty. While all of your items will carry over, the enemies will have more health and dish out more damage."Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal" completes the PS3 trilogy of games. In this PlayStation title, the number of weapons increases to 20 with each gun having eight levels of power. Some standout weapons include guns that make black holes and shields that protect you from damage. While you play as both Ratchet and Clank, this PlayStation title also lets you play as Commander Qwark. The original "Up Your Arsenal" was the first title in the trilogy to include multiplayer. That multiplayer feature is also present in the PlayStation 3 collection. You can play games against both local friends and online players from around the world. Game types range from deathmatch to capture the flag.These three games in the Ratchet & Clank collection were blockbusters upon their original release. If you're a fan of any of the original three games then this is a great collection. If you never tried them on the ps2 then this is also a great opportunity to play them. the disc has the first three games on it but remastered with better graphics. The only problem I have with it is having to quit and restart the game to switch to a different game.

Great nostalgia
I played the ratchet and clank games when I was in elementary school and early middle school and boy is great to have the 3 first games with slightly improved graphics on one well maintained disk!! This sounds like an ad I know, but this was probably one of my best buys considering the other prices for this game.

Ratchet and clank Ps3 Collection
Paired with the better graphics of the Ps3 it has it's own charm and brings the experience to the max. You won't be bored with that much game play plus you will be able to play the future trilogy of games in your Ps3, so it's worth I'll say
