Last year on a hike, he impelled himself on a broken sharp limb on a log when he didn't quite clear it. This vest looks like it would hold up to something like that if it ever occurred again. The shipping was very fast and the material and sewing look to be robust. Time will tell. Used it on a 7 mile hike today and held up well. The true test will be hunting season.
