    Gannicas is a badass!

A must own if your a fan of the good ol days. LOL. Tons of violence and sex what more could you ask ? Jk I was going through severe Game Of Thrones withdrawls and needed to find something that would scratch the itch. Spartacus did the trick. I wish they had cast the actor who plays Gannicas play as Spartacus instead . I loved the original guy they cast but he passed away right after first season. I just could not buy into the replacement guys portrayal of Spartacus. I don't know what it is about him. He just does not fit the role in my eyes. This season is mostly about Gannicas and the others it takes place before Spartacus gets enslaved. So its a prequel basically and a good one at that. Highly suggest it for any fan of Spartacus, Rome, gladiators

  • Love the Series, poor quality packaging, No bonus material as claimed.

I am rating this three stars mainly for the poor packaging and false claims of Bonus materials. I bought this set of dvd's brand new and unopened. As I removed the shrink wrap from the box all the Discs fell out of the bottom. The cardboard case was defective and had come apart. It will no longer hold the discs. I will have to store them in another case. In addition there are none of the bonus features as advertised on the box on disc 4. In fact, the table of contents printed on the box does not match the discs a all. One other reviewer complained of this. I am wondering if they are all like this or did I receive a factory second or a bootleg copy? I always enjoy the bonus material so I am disappointed. All is not lost though the discs seem to play. I LOVE the series. I have actually seen ...

  • SPARTACUS: GODS OF THE ARENA WAS EXCELLENT!

My friend the police chief recommended this movie to me. Said he started to watch it and he couldn't get up. It had his full attention and he thought it was fantastic! I said, "Oh really?" I got this set "Gods of The Arena" and the other one. This series was truly full of a lot of things: Lots of sex and lust, blood and gore, surprises, betrayal and more! WOW! It was beyond what I expected. The House of Batiatus (Quintus and Lucretia) and the things they did "to others" to elevate their house and status. The Gladiator Gannicus one of the baddest gladiator and being a slave, how he had to do what he was told and perform with his best friends wife for the Romans enjoyment. Still, he was handsome and so awesome. And the Gladiators, how they practiced, fought, and aspired to be great and lived ...

  • Action pacted. Adult , and homosexual scenes.

It could have been a super great movie. If they would cut out some of the F words. Not for Under age children. They sounded more like they were gang members then Romans, and with no education. In some parts if they took the F word out it would be a silent movie. Too many dead spots were they just talked leading no where. The action Pack movie part of the time were great. The action fights where all different, and kept you on your toes. Too much blood on each kill. If you sword fighting, and nude woman, and men this is for you. Not a family movie Many Homosexual scenes. A wife would object. The World is close to the times of the Romans in sin.

  • Among my very favorite videos.

It was very realistic, especially to the decadent period of the last days of the Roman Empire. Characters were believable and plot was full of intrigue. Have acquired the first three episodes and am looking forward to buying the final chapter of this GREAT series when it comes out on video.
