This fourth installment of the Super Mario Advance series once again revisits a classic Mario game while adding a few enhancements to appeal to veteran players. Super Mario Bros. 3, at one time the biggest selling video game in history, is the subject of choice for this cartridge, featuring updated graphics and sound resembling the version introduced in the Super Mario All-Stars compilation on Super NES. New speech, the ability to save progress to battery, and a few surprises are in store for those familiar with the 8-bit platform game. <br><br>Mario and Luigi must stop Bowser and his mischievous children from turning the local populace into animals, kicking off an adventure spanning eight themed worlds: Grass Land, Desert Hill, Sea Side, Big Island, The Sky, Iced Land, Pipe Maze, and Castle of Koopa. Mario can don special power suits that grant him the ability to fly, hop like a frog, toss hammers, and freeze into an immobile statue for protection. As in previous Super Mario Advance games, up to four players can compete in a standalone version of the original Mario Bros., and those owning the e-Reader peripheral will be able to swipe cards to unlock additional levels or special challenges.

My FAVOURITE Mario Game EVER!
I love this game! Almost certainly my favourite Mario game EVER, and I love Mario Games. I love the Power-ups, I love the map format, I love the gameplay. There are a lot of things that I thought I would prefer, but after playing games with those things, I decided I like it the way it is. The only thing I wish it had is Yoshi, but I know he came later.

Great classic returns, Super Mario 3!
As a kid, I was 6 when this great classic originally made its debut. Even then, I saw the vast improvement in graphics that was made through the life of the “Mario” games. Of those, Mario 3 took the spot of my favorite NES game and has held that spot since. Seeing this release for the GBA, once I had a system to play it on (N.DSLite), it was one that I *really* wanted. It certainly hasn’t disappointed me in its nostalgic and classic sense. That the GBA title also includes the original arcade version of the Mario Bros. game (as previous Super Mario Advance titles), is also a nice bonus. I have only one minor complaint. This complaint focuses around the saving feature. Although nice for a game with this kind of length, there are really two “types” of saves: (1) A “hard” save: You ... The “hard” saves can be loaded multiple times. (2) A “soft” save: This is used when you wish to stop playing and use the “start” button to “Save & Quit”. This “soft” save can only be loaded once to continue from where you saved. This is different from the saving feature that is in “Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World”, which treats all saves as “hard” saves. This is what I prefer as it allows saving immediately before entering any level. If you die, load and repeat. Not so for “Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario 3”. Overall, however, this title brings back a great set of classics of the NES. If you grew up playing the Mario games of the that system and the arcade game, “Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario 3” is a must buy.

Super Mario Bros. 3 Super Mario Advance 4 plays like you would expect. If you can get some E-Reader cards you can access some cool levels and items from previous games. Super Mario Bros 3 is easily the best of the Mario Advance series. You could seek lots of hours into this game alone.

Pretty sure Mario 3 is my all time favorite Mario. I love Galaxy, 64, and Odyssey. but Mario 3 is I think one of the rare flawless games ever made. And super fun. Awesome to have on my DS light.

Definitive Super Mario Bros 3
This is the best way to play Mario 3, the greatest game of all time. This version has all of the 38 e reader levels unlocked which is pretty much an entirely different game. I consider it to be the real Super Mario Bros 4.
