The copy of Tangled I received was a well-camouflaged pirated version. The dvd worked well but the blu Ray was obviously burned, printed poorly, and froze a couple minutes in. I don’t support pirated movies. The movie itself is great! And that’s why Disney should get profits, not people who pirate movies.

The movie that will grow on you, the more you watch.. the more you like it!
I consider myself as a ultra-hyper movie lover. And one genre of movies that I most thoroughly enjoy is 2d traditional, 3d computer aided, and 3d glasses assisted features. When I first saw Tangled 3D in the theaters with my family, I first thought it was just a really good, above average, near Pixar quality romantic-adventure story. My entire family thought very highly of the movie and felt it was one of the more enjoyable theatrical experiences in recent memory. To my surprise, as time went on, the more I came to realized that the movie was actually much better than I had first thought. It took purchasing the Blu-Ray edition (along with a couple of viewings) to fully understand why my revised opinion had actual substance to it (I purchased the 2D version, which I feel allows for more relaxed viewing). The creators of this movie had actually created a mini-classic that I think over time will eventually become fully appreciated. This is a rare combination of a good story, great voice acting, superb animation, great pacing, and thoroughly empathic & charismatic characters. I think only repeated viewing of this Blu-Ray copy will reveal some of these qualities. Whatever the case, I do believe you will enjoy watching the movie more than once even if you may not share my overall enthusiasm.
Tangled: Better than The Little Mermaid?
My girlfriend has always loved The Little Mermaid. It has been her favorite Disney animated film since she was a child. I bought this for her, and we watched it twice already, and here's why... This movie brings back some of the original elements that made Disney's animated films so memorable. The singing is definitely one of them. Most animated films in the modern age use famous artists or mainstream the soundtrack. Tangled has that old original style of music. The characters sing original songs that generate the feel of the scene. Also, I'd like to add this obviously a great film for the kids. We have decided to add Tangled to our collection as this is not one of those films frozen in time, it could even be enjoyed by our grandchildren later in life when that time comes. Movie collectors and parents should go out and get a copy if they haven't already.
This is a classic ...loved by kids and adults!
Love it, love it, love it! Best movie in awhile. Right up there with Toy Story 1 & 3! We cannot stop watching this. I bought this as extras...1 for my (gramma's) house and one for my daughter's house. All three grandkids there love it...mostly the 4 year old. 11 year old watches it over the top of his ipod pretending he is not interested...LOL. We got hooked on it the 1st time we saw it at our family Christmas celebration where my grown son (father of 2 young daughters) MADE us all (14 in total) sit and watch the whole thing. He was right ...we were all captivated. Even with the distractions of all the food, company and gifts. This is a classic!!
