Scarpetta series seems to be heading down hill
I really liked the Kay Scarpetta series by Patricia Cornwell when I started reading it. But the last few books I've read have a lot more foul language. The characters aren't being developed as well as they had been. The technical forensic information is getting a bit too involved. Scarpetta's niece, Lucy, is always getting into disgusting situations; she has been a member of so many different federal agencies, it doesn't seem rational that one would let her go and another pick her up. Then she went out on her own, now I see in the next book, she and her aunt are starting over with another agency. Scarpetta's friend Marino has had such a strange transformation from tough city detective, to divorced cop who lets himself go, to a Harley hog. His mouth is constantly spitting out "f*** ... There's just one problem: Chandonne is in prison.
