    Love the tudors series. Not exactly historically accurate but good any way

    It sticks loosely to history, but quite a bit is extra. Obviously Jonathan Rhys meyers looks nothing like Henry viii, but who cares? He's gorgeous eye candy. I recommend.

    Good show!

    I purchased The Tudors first season on DVD because I loved Jonathan Rhys Meyers in "August Rush" and I wanted to see more of him. Man, did I ever get to see more of him!! The series is pretty much completely historically inaccurate if you happen to know anything about Henry VIII's life and times, but, it's pretty entertaining nonetheless. If you're one who blushes easily, beware, there's some pretty steamy sex scenes! The acting is great, the characters are very believable. On the whole, yeah, good purchase, entertaining television. I may have to upgrade my cable to include Showtime so that I can watch the second season as it happens.

    The Tudors

    Lead actor should have strawberry blond hair like the real Henry VIII! Henry was a large man even when young, this actor is too slight of build. Henry's coloring was very important in history they should have dyed the actors hair. The actress who plays Kathryn of Aragon is excellent! The family situation with Anne Boleyn is also not accurate. It portrays her father as caring for her, he used his daughters as pawns. Wish they would delve deeper into each character. Costumes & scenery are BEAUTIFUL!
