Good Little rsdio

These radios are good, Comparable to the RadioBoss units at a fraction of their prices.. Only bad thing, they are NOT FCC type accepted for anything except HAM Radio operations.. $5-$7,000.00 FCC fine if you get caught using these on commercial frequencies..

Save your money, Buy a Motorola or equivalent.

After reading other peoples reviews and doing research it seemed these would be a good buy. I bought these to use as radios on our film/TV project. I don't like writing bad reviews, but when it calls for it, I won't lie. THE GOOD: Because, they were easy to set up and for the most part use, and the battery life lasted all day, I give them 2 stars. THE BAD: With a supposed 5W of power we should have been able to communicate at least up to a mile and most GMRS radios with that much wattage say 30 miles. We were lucky if they got a signal in the room next door. Half the time they didn't work at all, the other half was unsatisfactory. We thought perhaps the headset might make a difference. It did. It made the situation even worse. We used them two seperate weekend shoots, one indoors, the other mixed but all close within a 100 yards. We have a car shoot coming up were we will have a camera car, the subject/Character car, and lead car, plus two different men on the ground. We need a radio that can broadcast at least a mile. There is no way these radios will do that. Very disappointed and a huge waiste of money. I can not in good conscience give anything but a double thumbs down to these. Save your money and get a Morotola system. ~A very unsatisfied customer.

These radios work great. Easy to use. We are using them to communicate between officials on a football field. No problem with range or usage. Upgraded. headset to the FBI tube type. Great item would purchase again.

Inexpensive and fully functional

These radios seem surprisingly well built considering the price. The audible channel indicator is a nice feature. Time will tell how they last, but for now they work great!
