If you decide to upgrade a Powerwheel kids Car, then you needs this Component too.
I decided to upgrade my Grandson Power Wheels Dune Racer. We upgraded the Power System with 3 Power Sonic Model PS-6100 F1 6Volt6 12.0 Amp. H Sealed rechargeable batteries. So both motors are feed by 18 Volts 12.0 AH system instead of 12 Volts 9.0 AH OEM Systems. The reason we avoided 24 Volts was because we did an Upgrade “To Go” not an upgrade “For Show”. It is fun to drive fast and end with Destroyed Gear Boxes and Burned out motors. Even with 18 Volts Batteries we added 4 Alloy Motor Heat Sinks to cool down motors. Going through this upgrade it is a good idea to keep 12V system on the side and add this brand new 18 V system, so we decided not to salvage 12 V system, so we added a new Connector with in line 40A fuse. After a long search we concluded that “Wire Harness Connector for Fisher-Price® Power Wheels® 12-Volt SLA Battery” is the best Option. You buy it Plug it in, and Play. While arranging the new system it is a Piece of Cake, charging 3 batteries system is the trick. Upgrading with 3 batteries keep in mind that all 3 batteries must be Equal, otherwise the weakest battery overheats and deteriorate fast. So you have to charge and EQUALIZE all 3 batteries same time. To do it the batteries has to be charged at the same voltage. These batteries requires DC Power, constant voltage Charge. Cycle Use: 7.20 – 7.50 V @ 68F Standby Use: 6.75 – 6.90 V @ 68 F I decided all 3 batteries simultaneously @ 6.90 Volts Max 3A. To do so I bought 3 Adapters : Output: 8V – 10V 2a-4A. We bought 5 5pcs Re DC-DC 3A Buck Converter Adjustable Step-Down Power Supply Module LM2596S for total $7.98 free shipping and set the charging Voltage @ 6.90 Volts each. The upgrade is done, the Power Wheels Dune Racer drives a little faster and more aggressively but we still check now and then the motors. The good is that the kids can drive for longer time and the speed is kept at the same level until the low battery cut of system disconnect the power and the vehicle goes back to the charge.

Makes your upgraded battery as Better Than the OEM.
Works GREAT and was easy to install, I had to change the ends to eyelets as my better battery had screws, washers, and nuts instead of spade ends, but it was still EASY, and it works FANTASTIC!!!!

Fits the bill
fit the bill. Needed a Power Wheels harness that I could use on battery that wasn't a Power Wheel battery. I cut the leads and soldered the end to the battery terminal. I can now connect it to our Power Wheel ATV and charge it with the Power Wheel charger.

The wires can come apart . Don’t let the kiddos mess with it . Otherwise works great and much cheaper option than buying the expensive Fischer price battery I have two , one for backups
