My favorite Audio Technica headphone in this price range
My favorite Audio Technica headphone in this price range. Very stylish attractive design. Solid build. Very lightweight. Very comfortable. Excellent stock cable that doesn't tangle on its own. Forward midrange. Clear and clean treble. Neutral non boosted low end. Wonderfully detailed sound. Very easy to drive so external amps aren't necessary at all.

These Headphones are my favorite bar none.
I've owned A LOT OF HEADPHONES, but these are something else. I'm not an open back kind of guy. I always buy closed back and I've had any over the years but the level or quality and sound is unbeatable at this price point. They're are so clean, not very fun sounding but super analytical and detailed. Best sound stage I've heard on a closed back. Reminds me of the m40x with HM5 pads. Except it's so much cleaner with way more detail. Imaging is astounding as always with audio technica. They have yet to disappoint me on their imaging. The low end is slightly emphasized but hardly, mids are just a smidge recessed, and the highs have slight boost. The balanced cable tones down the bass/low end but smoother the mids and highs by a tad, making them very neutral. If you're a bass head, these ... If you want a cheaper alternative, check out the ath-sr6. If you like wireless, their sr50bt are what's up.
