The Canon ZR 45 MC camcorder is capable of recording to multiple formats and is part of the Canon family of recording devices. The Canon ZR 45MC is an NTSC recording system with an 18x optical zoom and 360x digital aspherical zoom, which is capable of capturing video as well as still shots in JPEG image format. The lens of this recording device comes with a built-in .17-inch CCD optical sensor as well as progressive scan with capability to provide analog to digital video when connected or transferred to a computer with editing capabilities. The 2.5-inch LCD screen of the camcorder shows the videographer what is being captured as video with a max shutter speed of 1 of 8000 of a second and minimum speed of 1 of 60 of a second. It records to either a mini DV, MMC multimedia card, or an SD memory card in order to accommodate the videographer's preferences. The Canon ZR 45MC camcorder comes with a built-in microphone and stereo speakers so that there are no unnecessary peripherals plugged into the camcorder and the captured video can be transferred to a personal computer with either the MMC or SD card or via the composite out cable, IEEE firewire, iLink, micro USB, or an S-video cable. On-board controls on the Canon ZR 45MC include an auto and manual zoom controller and a display brightness controller for fully customizable shooting.
