Quality camera for general video work
I have used one of these for years. I bought this one to get a couple of parts that had become lost. It is a quality product and produces very good quality videos and stills. Controls are fairly simple. The built-in mic works well for general recording. I have used it as a 'studio' camera and it does a good job with both audio and video. It does not work as an external camera for a computer. The biggest knock I have is that the control surfaces can be a bit twitchy...sometimes not being as responsive as I want and other times responding to accidental touches. Trying to video with the charger plugged in can create a power hum on the audio, but has no effect on video. It can do a good job as a hand-held camera, but a tripod or stand is helpful for longer shots, due to its light weight. I have not used the built-in software for editing. I prefer other programs. It does connect readily to a computer to transfer files, but the memory card can also be easily removed and placed in a card reader.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
