I got this to cut insulation foam panels from a home improvement store into fake distressed boards for Halloween. It worked great for this, much better than the hot knife and hot wand I tried. It cuts extruded foam very easily. It's a good value, and would be a better value if E-Bay would charge a normal rate for shipping a very small package by USPS, instead of pocketing the excess shipping charge. But, if you want it, you have to pay. The product is very good.
