    Excellent value for the price

    This is a very nice instrument. I've never owned anything by Oscar Schmidt before, so I bought this banjo uke based on reviews of the instrument and the reputation of the manufacturer. I was not disappointed. At this price, it's hard to imagine getting a better quality instrument. Buyers should know that they will have to place the bridge themselves. It's not difficult, though, and there are several videos showing how to do it on YouTube. Actually, the bridge in the product picture seems to be off by a good bit. It should be lower on the head. Anyway, I would definitely recommend the OUB1 to anyone looking for an affordable quality banjo uke. It looks like it will probably replace my Gretsch G9120 tenor uke as my "go to" uke.

    Good quality instrument

    Just got it, looks like a well made instrument, managed to instal the bridge, and took a little while to allow the strings to stretch, quite a bit heavier than my usual wooden uke, so definitely needs a strap.but it looks good. Pity that the suppliers don’t include instructions for installing the bridge, so had to look online.

    Great little ukulele

    You can't beat the price on this full setup. I have several vintage banjo ukes and wanted to compare then with this one. It rakes right up there. It is loud and you don't need the pickup. But you can use it on another ukulele. If you're looking for a good banjo uke, don't hesitate to buy this one.

    Fun instrument, good quality.

    This banjolele is a good quality product and comes with all you need to start playing. It looks like a small banjo and sounds almost like one but is easier to play, like a ukulele. Just tune up and stretch the strings. The included tuner and neck strap are good quality as well. I never even saw one before so I don’t know how it compares in comfort and sound but certainly good enough for a beginner. Fun!

    Good sound, good action, very attractive appearance, exceptional value

    This banjo uke sounds very nice, with a good banjo twang strummed with gusto, and a nice tone when strummed gently. The action was good from the first, and the intonation is excellent once the bridge is set. I can not imagine that for the money, any other instrument compares.
