Made of metal and is shiny black so you might have to paint the front to look perfect. I left mine and it looks fine. Once mounted in the adapter bracket it is solid and secure. Fits the 3.5" floppy drive bay in my older reclaimed desktop case perfectly. Dual USB-3 cables appear to be of good quality and fit the USB-3 female connector on my new MSI motherboard perfectly. Both of the provided ports were fully functional with a USB flash drive.
